Aesthetician: cosmetician, someone who works in a beauty parlor/aesthetic clinic

I went to see my aesthetician in order to receive a facial treatment


Dairy products: products made from milk, like cheese, yogurt o butter

It's very important to eat at least tree portions of dairy products daily.


Insulation: the act of protecting something by surrounding it with material that reduces or prevents the transmission of sound or heat or electricity/the state of being isolated or detached

Pacients who suffer from swine flu must be in insulation for one week at least


Merciful: used conventionally for royalty and high nobility/characterized by mercy and compassion

Our merciful queen/ He has been merciful to them

Cleanse: clean one's body or parts thereof, as by washing/purge of an ideology, bad thoughts, or sins

Meditation is supposed to cleanse you from your bad thoughts


Crisps (chips in AE): a thin crisp slice of potato fried in deep fat

We ate crisps with onion dip


Hair removal: to remove hair from someone using special lotions or objects

She applies a chemical hair removal lotion on her legs once a week


Legacy: a gift of personal property by will

Her legacy was huge.

Disgusting: highly offensive, something that produces aversion or disgust

That food has a disgusting smell


Start-up costs: the money you need to set up a company or to start running a company

Bargain: an agreement between parties (usually arrived at after discussion) fixing obligations of each/an advantageous purchase

She made a bargain with the devil/I got a bargain at the auction


To make up: apply make-up or cosmetics to one's face/to put in order/conciliate, come to terms/make up something artificial or untrue/create or compose/compensate, do or give something to somebody in return/catch up with, make up work that was missed due to absence at a later point/ comprise, be form or compose

I make my face up everyday/She made up her room today/They finally made up after a long discussion/He made up a story/She makes up fashion clothes/Are they making you up for the extra work?/Ale is going to make up the final exam when she comes back/We make up class 5B
